2006 Buckskin Gelding (pictured above as two year old)
Sabe (Lonny & I's 17 year old son) has been riding 'Blue' a lot for us. He has been going out alone a lot and is doing much better at crossing ditches. 'Blue' has been getting a lot of miles on some pretty tough trails in all kinds of brush and hills and ditches. He has become more confident and wants to please. As you can see in the pictures, 'Blue' is much darker in the winter and has really lightened up this summer, but he has got a cute little head and sharp little ears. The pictures below were taken on August 18th, 2010. We have since switched him to a straight snaffle bit. He is really growing into a nice colt!

We have ridden 'Red' a lot the last couple of months. We have used him to lead other young colts across ditches and up and down the hills. He has been really good for this! We have been riding him in a tender touch bit and he really does well with it. 'Red' has also been getting the same long miles as 'Blue', seeing lots of rank ditches, extremely steep hills, and all sorts of brushy timbers. Definitly not just waltzing down a deserted roadway!! These pictures below were taken July 31st, 2010, at a weekend trail ride we hosted.
Lonny is on "Red" in the middle of the picture below, just in front of the red Dodge. ( He is surrounded by two of our 'trainees', Rusty- the bay, and Little Bill-the buckskin.)
